- About the strategic plan
The 2016-2022 Strategic Plan was created with the aim of defining the roadmap of the Carlos III University of Madrid for the next five years.
Strategic lines:
• Research: generate interdisciplinary research of excellence in the international sphere, participating in research networks and contributing scientific solutions to society’s needs.
• Education: ensure that UC3M offers the best teaching aimed at the students’ professional development and integration into society. Facilitate learning through constant innovation of its educational model, guaranteeing a high-quality education.
• Engagement with society: the University, as part of its commitment to society, must foment the principles of equality, sustainability, respect for the environment and cooperation/volunteerism. In addition, it should be involved in the development of the production sector, transferring knowledge generated to society through collaboration with companies, institutions and citizens.
• Good governance: the University assumes a commitment to good governance and transparency in all of its strategic lines through the proper use of its resources, applying best practices in research, teaching, and management, as well as by giving greater visibility to its activities and the results of its activities.
Perspectives:
• Global: international convergence in the area of research, education and culture.
• Open: to knowledge transfer to society, to the development of a link with the production sector, to transparency and to academic and research excellence.
• Digital: developing a technological model that enables cutting-edge innovation in research, learning and management.
