Integrated Ultra-lasers workshop in Photonics West 2020 Thursday 6 February 2020, 10:20 AM - 12:20 PM Session Chair: Guillermo Carpintero, Univ. Carlos III de Madrid (Spain)
Photonic integration is a key technology that allows to fabricate multiple photonic components within fully functional chip. The performance of each device is usually a compromise to enable the integration on a common substrate of higher number of components. Novel component structure designs and hybrid integration technology are enabling to boost the component performance. This workshop will present different approaches towards achieving photonic integrated lasers with extreme performance, ultra-narrow linewidth or ultra-broad wavelength tuning range. TERAmeasure project partners UC3M and Fraunhofer HHI participate in this workshop organized by the project coordinator.
