External Experts Reports
The final doctoral thesis must be reviewed in advance by two Doctors who are experts in the subject and are external to Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.
The Academic Committee will appoint TWO external experts who can provide their reports as soon as possible, and within a maximum period of one month, on the doctoral thesis and, where appropriate, propose aspects for improvement. The experts may be members of the future thesis defense Evaluation Committee, as well as being the international experts who will provide information on the thesis eligible for International Distinction.
The thesis director must submit a proposal following the template Proposal for External Evaluating Experts and the experts will be required to submit a report following the template Report for External Experts
The Academic Committee, in view of these reports, may request changes and/or additions to the thesis, giving the PhD student a maximum period of one month to respond to the observations and, where appropriate, include the relevant modifications before their submission, always having the approval of the Thesis Director, who will prepare the relevant explanatory report addressed to the Academic Committee, following the template Model Improvement-Revision Report - pre-thesis defense
