Graduate program in Advanced Human Rights Studies
The graduate program in Advanced Human Rights Studies, adapted to the European Higher Education Area, is made up of two successive programs, with both programs leading to two official degrees: Master’s in Advanced Human Rights Studies (with a duration of two academic school-years) and the PhD in Law-Fundamental Rights program.
Master's in Fundamental Rights
The Master’s in Fundamental Rights is aimed at training professionals desiring to work in Non-Governmental Organizations, Government Agencies or National or International consultancies which defend and promote Human Rights. The duration of the Master’s is an academic year (from October to July) and it is made up of 60 ECTS credits which are divided into theoretical classes, Legal Clinic and a Practicum.
Master's in Human Rights and Democratization
The Master’s in Human Rights and Democratization, organized jointly with the Universidad del Externado de Colombia aims to contribute, through teaching and reflection, to the reconstruction and redefinition of the tasks of civil society, and of public organisms and organizations on the subject of Human Rights. Through the general Human Rights theory and providing instruments for the study of its practical aspects, it contributes to training Human Rights specialists capable of responding to different situations in which human dignity is at stake.
Specialist in Citizenship and Human Rights Education
The Specialist certificate in Citizenship and Human Rights Education and is aimed at Education professionals interested in acquiring serious and rigorous training in Human Rights. The main aim is the specific training of teaching staff for Human Rights courses.
