Juan Cornide Arce
Juan Cornide, PhD, is Associate Professor at the University Carlos III of Madrid (UC3M). He is Assistant Professor at Carlos III University of Madrid on the Powder Technology Group (GTP) in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering. He earned his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering at Complutense University of Madrid in 2012 for the Thesis entittled “Advanced Bainitic Steels: Transformation mechanism and Mechanical Properties” performed in CENIM-CSIC. During his PhD he enjoyed two internships in Tohoku University and Oak Ridge National Laboratory. He was post-doc at University of Rouen (2012-2015) being involved in AccMet European Project.
His research topics include advanced characterisation techniques (Atom Probe Tomography, Transmission Electron Microscopy, Electron Backscattered Diffraction), high entropy alloys, nanostructured steels and phase transformations in steels. He has participated in different European projects as well as contracts with the industry and he is co-author of more than 20 papers in indexed journals.
