Meet researchers CONEX
UC3M brings together scientists from 17 nationalities

The president of Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M), Juan Romo, has presided over an act of encounter with international investigators incorporated into the university through CONEX program, which also involved the mentors' teachers.
CONEX (connecting EXcellence to UC3M) is a program of UC3M that aims attracting international talent through the recruitment of experienced researchers in three big areas of knowledge: Social and Legal Sciences; Humanities, Communication and Documentation; and Engineering.
The 26 researchers have the opportunity to advance their scientific careers by conducting a research project three years in one of the departments or research institutes UC3M. The researchers, from 17 different nationalities, come from universities and research centers in 14 countries: Germany, Belgium, Chile, China, Italy, USA, Egypt, Finland, France, Malaysia, Netherlands, Portugal, United Kingdom, Trinidad and Tobago.
CONEX is funded by the UC3M, the PEOPLE program (Marie Curie Actions) of the Seventh Framework Programme of the European Union, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport, the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, and Banco Santander.
