UC3M earns ACCA International Certification in Accounting
11/16/17
Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting has earned the certification of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), which reinforces the internationalization of these studies and allows students to access the services this organization provides, such as on-line teaching materials, job offers and international scholarships.
The ACCA certification helps UC3M graduates in Finance and Accounting obtain the title of Certified Public Accountant (CPA). It exempts them from eight of the nine exams required to obtain this certificate, which qualifies professional accountants in numerous countries. In the United Kingdom, for example, it is the license required for accountants to be able to offer their services to the public.
The signing of the agreement, endorsed by the UC3M rector, Juan Romo, and the ACCA’s head of Business and Academic Development in Western Europe and North America, Abdul Goffar, took place this week on the University’s Getafe campus.
The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants can be considered the world organization of reference in the field of accounting. Founded in 1904, it currently has 198,000 members and 490,000 students from 178 countries. It also has a network of a hundred offices and more than 7,200 employers around the world.
