Professor Silvina Verónica Ribotta
Professor of Philosophy of Law, Deputy Vice-Rector for Cooperation, Director of the Master’s Degree in Fundamental Rights, Co-Director of the Critical Theory Seminar, member of the Cooperation Group Bartolomé de las Casas Institute Group on Assistance, Training and Research in Human Rights, member of the Research Group on Human Rights, State of Law, and Democracy. Author of numerous publications of national and international impact in Philosophy of Law, Political Philosophy and Sociology of Law on topics related to Human Rights, Theories of Justice and contemporary political thought, equality and freedom, poverty and economic inequalities, cooperation and social development, economic injustice, social rights and basic needs, socio-structural vulnerability, feminism and law, education in human rights and peace, torture and torture prevention, training and selection of judges, among others. She has been visiting professor at Università degli Studi di Brescia (Italy), American University, New York University, Columbia University (USA), Oxford University (UK), and Université Catholique de Louvain la Neuve (Belgium). In addition, she collaborates with several Latin American, European, and American Universities. She has a degree in Law, a degree in Social Work, a Specialist in Public Health, a Specialist in Constitutional Law and Political Science, and a Ph.D. in Law and Human Rights.
