Professor Antonio Eleazar Serrano López
Antonio Eleazar Serrano López is a lecturer in the Department of Library & Information Science, with a degree in Library Science and Documentation, a Master's degree in Research and a PhD from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, with additional training as a Specialist in Quantitative Methods from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
From the research point of view, he is Co-PI of the research group LEMI (Laboratory of Metric Information Studies) and member of the Interuniversity Institute of "Research Institute for Higher Education and Science" (INAECU) since its foundation in 2012. Throughout his career he has participated in multiple research projects in competitive calls at national level, several projects funded by the European Union (H2020) and more than 10 R&D contracts (article 83). His research work has resulted in more than 30 scientific publications, both in high impact journals and in national and international conferences. He has also carried out multiple research stays in Portugal, at the University of Coimbra and Dinamarc, both at the Royal School of Library and Information Science and at the University of Aalborg.
At the teaching level, she teaches subjects related to the evaluation of scientific activity, information retrieval and the management of social networks and digital communities.
In the field of university management, since 2017 he has held the position of Coordinator of the Final Degree Project in the Faculty of Humanities, Communication and Documentation and has served as Coordinator of the "Compañeros" Programme for the mentoring of first-year students by veteran students of the university since 2016.
