Professor Cristina Brändle Cerqueira
Cristina Brändle has a degree in Mathematics (2000) and a PhD in Mathematics (2006) from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. She joined the Department of Mathematics at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid with a position as a PhD Assistant in 2007 and has been a University Professor since 2012.
Her teaching activity is developed in several subjects of the Mathematics area that are taught in most of the degree programs of the EPS. During the academic year 2018-2019 she participated in the commission for the elaboration of the Degree in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science, where she also teaches.
She maintains an active research activity since 2004, publishing in international scientific journals and participating in the dissemination of results through participation in international conferences, and invited papers. Her lines of research are included within the area of Applied Mathematics, and in particular in the study of different properties of equations in stationary and evolutionary partial derivatives. She is currently responsible for the GEDA research group.
Since 2014 she has been an evaluator for the Verifica and Monitor programs in the Science Evaluation Commission of ANECA. She has also participated in evaluations of the Acredita program. She has been secretary of the Mathematics Department (2011-2015) and has participated in several outreach programs with high school students.
