Professor Raquel Carrasco Perea
Raquel Carrasco began her professional career as a researcher with the completion of her doctoral thesis at CEMFI and the University of Alcalá in 1998. From 1998 to 1999, she was hired as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Copenhagen. Raquel started working as a Visiting Professor at Carlos III University in 1999 and became Associate Professor in 2004.
From 2012 to 2017, Raquel was the Vice Dean of the Economics Degree at the Faculty of Social and Juridical Sciences at UC3M. She was also a member of the Editorial Board of SERIEs, the Journal of the Spanish Economic Association (2010-2015), the Council of the Spanish Economic Association (2008-2010), and the Scientific Committee of ANEP (National Agency for Evaluation and Prospective) (2008-2010). She served as an Associate Editor of the Spanish Economic Review (2006-2009) and Investigaciones Económicas (2008-2009).
Raquel has over 20 years of experience teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Econometrics, Microeconometrics, and Applied Economics. Her research primarily focuses on the estimation of microeconomic models using policy evaluation methods and panel data with applications to labor, industrial, and family economics. She has published over 20 articles in journals included in the JCR. Almost all of her publications have a higher number of citations than the average citation count in the JCR in the field of Economics.
