Prof. D. Carlos Delgado Kloos

Professor Carlos Delgado Kloos

Carlos Delgado Kloos holds a PhD in Telecommunications Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and a PhD in Computer Science from the Technical University of Munich. He is Professor of Telematics Engineering at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, where he is also Director of the GAST Research Group and Director of the UNESCO Chair on "Scalable Digital Education for All". He is currently the Rector's Delegate for Digital Microcredentials linked to the CertiDigital project (certidigital.es). In the past he has been Vice Rector for Strategy and Digital Education, Vice Rector for Infrastructures and Environment and Deputy Vice Rector for International Relations and Cooperation. He was also the founding Director of the Department of Telematics Engineering.

He is a Senior Member of the IEEE and has led a multitude of research projects at national and bilateral, European and international level, especially in educational technologies. He has been Manager of the National ICT R&D Programme in the Ministry. He has carried out research stays at universities such as Harvard, MIT, Munich and others. The number of scientific contributions in national and international conferences and journals exceeds 500. He has also written a book, co-edited more than a dozen books and has led multiple MOOCs (massive open online courses), especially on the edX and MiríadaX platforms.
