Professor José Manuel Rodríguez García
José Manuel Rodríguez graduated in Mathematics from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in 1986, obtaining the Extraordinary Bachelor's Award. After completing his studies, with a Research Personnel Training scholarship from the Ministry of Education and Science, he obtained his PhD in Mathematics at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in 1991.
His thesis focused on geometric function theory, especially on the study of Riemann surfaces. He has been a professor at the Carlos III University of Madrid since 1993, where in 1994 he was promoted to Associate Professor and in 2011 to Full Professor.
His research interests include geometric theory of functions (Riemann surfaces, Poincaré metric, hyperbolic spaces), surfaces with negative curvature, graph theory, inequalities, approximation theory, and mathematical chemistry. He has numerous publications in scientific journals, in addition to having directed numerous research projects and doctoral theses.
