Ricardo Pérez - UCLA University of California (USA)

icardo Pérez-Marco earned his PhD in Pure Mathematics from the University of Paris XI and his undergraduate degrees in Mathematics from the University of Paris, and in Theoretical Physics from the University of Barcelona.

Dr. Pérez-Marco is Research Director at the National Scientific Research Center (CNRS) in the University of Paris XIII, France, and a Professor at the University of California, Los Angeles.

He also lectures at the University of Paris South and holds positions as a visiting professor at the I.H.E.S de Bures-sur-Yvette, Carlos III University of Madrid, New York University, the Mathematical Research Center (CRM) in Barcelona, and the Mittag-Leffler Institute in Stockholm.

He was awarded the European Mathematical Society Prize in 1996, the Sloan Fellowship, the IBM Young Investigator Award and is a member of the Bourbaki Group.

RESEARCH STAY AT UC3M: MATHEMATICS DEPARTMENT

PROJECT: Research in the field of Complex Variability. Introductory course on the Riemann zeta function and Rienmann's Hypothesis (considered to be one of the most important problems in modern Mathematics). Research on Solenoidal Homology.
