RESEARCH STAY AT UC3M: SIGNAL AND COMMUNICATIONS THEORY DEPARTMENT

PROJECT: The project deals with the area of spectral estimation for cognitive radio, aimed, initially at its use in the 2.4 GHz ISM band, which co-exists with services such as 802.11g and 802.15.4. The long-term goal of this research consisted in establishing mechanisms based on spectrum observations and decision-making (both based on machine learning). These carry an increase in ISM band use by licensed or primary users (Wi-Fi, sensor networks, for example) as well as by secondary or unlicensed users.

STAY PERIOD: JAN 10 - AUG 10
