Peter Ingwersen - Royal School of Library and Information Science (DENMARK)
Peter Ingwersen earned his PhD from the Copenhagen Business School, Faculty of Economics, Institute of Informatics and Management. Currently he is Full Professor of Information Retrieval and Seeking at the Royal School of Library and Information Science (LIS) in Copenhagen. He has worked with the Information Retrieval Service of the European Space Agency (ESA-IRS) in Frascati, Italy, as a Research Fellow. He has been Visiting Professor at Rutgers University in New Jersey, and is Affiliate Professor at Åbo Akademi University in Finland, and Professor II at Oslo University College, Norway. His research interests are information retrieval (IR) interaction, user-driven IR evaluation methods, polyrepresentation principles in IR as well as scientometric and webometric analyses, including research evaluation, citation analysis and scientific communication. In May, 2010, he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate degree by the Faculty of Information Science, University of Tampere, Finland.
RESEARCH STAY AT UC3M: LIBRARY SCIENCE AND DOCUMENTATION
PROJECT: Scientometric Analyses of the Productivity and Impact of Eco-economy of Spain 1995-2009 (SAPIENS). SAPIENS aims at performing publication and citation analyses as well as producing selective subject field distributions, co-citation analyses and impact indicators concerned with the scientific publication activities 1995-2009 in Spain in selected relevant scientific areas.
