Description:
The large databases of many Internet companies are made up of up to billions of users. Finding a person among all these users seems like an impossible task, especially when we do not have data that directly identifies the person, such as their identity document or their name and surname. But what if I told you that I am able to find you among billions of users with generic information such as your interests or skills? In this talk we will raise awareness of how by combining generic data shared by billions of users, you become unique.
Speakers:
José González Cabañas, postdoctoral researcher at the UC3M-Santander Big Data Institute; Ángel Merino Hernández, researcher at the Department of Telematic Engineering at UC3M.
