Thirty years younger

This academic year we are celebrating the 30th anniversary of Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. It has been 30 years of collective effort and dedication to defend an idea, which, in short, is: a public institution of Spain at the leading edge of higher education. All of the achievements of the past thirty years would not have been possible without the total commitment of our University Community and without this shared vision.  We have opted for the path of internationalization and for that of Europe; we are a university of reference and enjoy world class recognition. This is not a result of improvisation, nor does it come about overnight. What we undertake in the coming 30 years will depend not only on the individual merit of each and every person who makes up the University and on those who come afterwards, but on the total commitment to a cause and a project that is called Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, a project that, let’s not forget, belongs not only to us, but to those who have placed their trust in us.  As you will see, the program of events for our 30th anniversary strives to include a wide array of voices and a diverse range of topics. It will be updated throughout the year. I hope you will take part in and enjoy all of the activities.
