The master's program is organized into five distinct modules:

• Generic Module and Transversal Module: these comprise the compulsory credits of the Curriculum, a total of 18 ECTS, distributed across six subjects in the first semester
• Specific Module: 24 ECTS distributed across three elective subjects, aimed at completing the Philosophy specialization
• External Academic Internships (PAE): these include 12 ECTS of practical training in educational centers
• Master's Dissertation: 6 ECTS

Requirements

Section 4.2 of Order ECI/3858/2007, of December 27, establishes the following admission requirements for the Master’s degree in relation to the students' prior university degree:

“For admission to the Master's degree, an entry requirement is established consisting of the accreditation of mastery of the competencies related to the specialization to be pursued, by means of an exam designed for this purpose by the Universities. Those in possession of any of the university degrees that correspond to the chosen specialization shall be exempt from this exam.”

By virtue of the foregoing, during the admission process, students must prove that they hold—or are in a position to hold within the period stipulated by the university—a degree that guarantees mastery of the competencies related to the specialization they wish to pursue.

Additionally, Section 4.2 of Order ECI/3858/2007, of December 27, establishes that a requirement for admission to the Master’s degree is the accreditation of proficiency in a foreign language, equivalent to level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

**The highest score will be awarded to applicants who demonstrate, in their résumé, relevant academic achievements or other merits that indicate their readiness and potential for success in the program, and whose statement of purpose clearly outlines their goals, how those goals align with the program’s objectives, and their commitment to the field of study.

ADMISSION PROFILE

The master's program is designed for those who wish to obtain comprehensive, well-rounded training tailored to the current needs of the job market in order to pursue a career as a teacher in Compulsory Secondary Education, Upper Secondary Education, and/or Vocational Training.

Language requirements

The master’s program is taught in Spanish. Students whose native language is not Spanish must demonstrate their spoken and written proficiency at a level equal to or higher than B2 on the CEFR by submitting an official certificate or proof that they completed their previous university studies in Spanish.

In addition, Section 4.2 of Order ECI/3858/2007, dated December 27, stipulates that admission to the master’s program requires proof of proficiency in a foreign language equivalent to level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Please note that due to the fact that this Master’s program grants you access to regulated professions, it needs to comply with a special legislation that requires those applicants with foreign degrees to have their degrees previously accredited and recognized by our Ministry of Education of Spain.

For more information, you should check the Ministry’s website: Higher Education Homologation. It is important to know that this process may take around 9 to 12 months, approximately.

For this reason, unless your previous studies have been previously accredited and recognized by our Ministry of Education, we strongly advise you not to apply for this Master’s program.

• it will be paid once the student receives notification of admission to the master’s, and deducted from the first tuition payment

NOTE: the indicated public prices do not include in any case, neither the ECTS corresponding to the Formative Complements that the student must take (only master's degrees with previous Formative Complements), nor the cost of issuing the master’s degree certificate.

Additional information

• You may enrol on the master’s degree after completing the admission process and receiving formal confirmation of your acceptance.
• When performing the enrolment you can choose between Full-time enrolment or Part-time enrolment.
• The email address provided upon enrolment will be used for formal communications; students are therefore kindly requested to check their mail regularly.
• Pursuant to the regulations of the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, a student failing to pay any part of the fees will not be admitted and the enrolment process will be terminated. In cases of cancellation of enrolment due to non-payment, the University may demand the payment of the pending amounts for enrolment in previous academic courses as a prior condition of enrolment.
  No diploma or certificate will be issued if a student has any outstanding payments.
