All levels and sub-levels from A1 to C2 are offered, provided there is a sufficient number of students enrolled in the level. Interested students must first take an online placement test for that purpose.

This is the course
The face-to-face courses offered by the Centro de Idiomas have a communicative focus and work on all of the language competences, oral as well as written.
All the teaching hours given by a teacher ensure interaction with the teacher and with classmates.
All of the autonomous activities are always carried out under the guidance of the teacher, who provides correction and continuous feedback to help the student progress in their language acquisition.

Registration
Registration period 2C 2024/2025: From January 08 to February 05, 2025
Registration procedure:
- If you have previous knowledge of English, take the PLACEMENT TEST to determine which course you can take. At the end of the test, you will obtain the final score and the link to the enrollment form.
- If you do not have previous knowlegde of English, contact the Language Center
- All registrants will receive an email from the Language Centre after the registration period has ended.
- Objectives
- Engage in comprehensive work in all communicative competences, oral as well as written.
- Acquire the tools necessary to improve oral fluency appropriate to the level.
- Improve and broaden the student’s lexical range.
- Work towards attaining grammatical accuracy.
- Assessment
- Grade for participation and progress in class: 30%
- Grade for homework, assignments and autonomous work: 30%
- Final exam grade: 40%
The exam will assess all the communicative elements of the language with a maximum of 10 points possible:
- Listening comprehension (2 points)
- Reading comprehension (2 points)
- Grammar and vocabulary (2 points)
- Written expression and interaction (2 points)
- Oral expression, interaction, and comprehension (2 points). This grade will be obtained by the completion of oral activities throughout the course.
In order to pass the course, the student must receive a grade of 5 in each of the three parts: participation and progress, homework, and exam.
- Attendance
ATTENDANCE REQUIRED TO OBTAIN CREDITS
A student may only be absent for up to 20% of the course (8 hours) for any reason.
A student who fails to meet the attendance requirement for any reason will be allowed to take the final examination but will not receive credit.
