The Italian courses are designed for the Universidad Carlos III students as well as for other students from outside the UC3M who wish to enrol on the courses.
All courses are based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and are taught by specialised teachers with an extensive experience in teaching the language.

- Teaching levels based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages:
- Diploma certifying duration of the course, qualification and level attained
- The courses are open to students and staff of the UC3M as well as members of the public from outside the University. The latter need to hold a secondary education qualification ('Bachillerato') to enrol on the course.

Official exams
The Italian Cultural Institute of Madrid runs exams for the official certificates CELI, ROMA III and CILS once a year. All these certificates are official qualifications recognised by the Council of Europe, although not by the the Spanish Ministry of Education.
