What is UC3M email?
Universidad Carlos III de Madrid provides you with an email account for academic and personal use. This UC3M email is the channel of communication with your professors and the university services.
Your email address is composed of your Student Identification Number or NIA (6 numbers after a 100: 100xxxxxx) followed by @alumnos.uc3m.es.
An example would be 100123456@alumnos.uc3m.es.
What is the NIA for?
Your NIA/Student number (100XXXXX) is needed for enrolling in the courses and to access to all the university services, moodle, library, sports activites and many more!
How do I get my NIA to activate my UC3M email?
There are two ways to obtain your NIA/student number depending on the reception of an email.
- If you have received an email with the subject “Exchange Programme Application. YOUR NAME”. The information includes your student number (6 numbers after a 100, e.g 100123456)
- If you have not received an email, please go to this link and get your NIA/student number by entering the PASSPORT/ID that you used to register and your date of birth.
- Click on this LINK and go to “New students”.
- There, open the section “Are you an International/Mobility student?”.
- Follow those steps.
It is absolutely important that you activate the verification in two steps. Otherwise, your email will be blocked. As you will not be able to introduce your phone number (unless you have a Spanish one), you need to download the Authenticator app, that you will find in Google Play Store or App Store de IOs.
How to log into UC3M email?
Your email account is associated with Gmail. Go to mail.google.com
Enter the complete email address (student number followed by @alumnos.uc3m.es; e.g.100123456@alumnos.uc3m.es).
Enter the password that you chose.
What do I do if I forget my password or have a problem with my account?
Don't worry. If you forget your password, you can use our "Change your password" service to generate a new one. You will then be able to log in to your account again.
