- Free Mover Postgraduate
Through the visiting student program or "Free Mover," you will be able to take courses from the Official Master's programs at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.
- There is no agreement between your home university and UC3M
- You could choose courses from different academic years or study plans, and at the end of your stay, we can provide you with a certificate listing the courses you have completed.
- The program is open to both Spanish and international students.
- You can apply for admission as a visiting student for the full academic year or for the first or second semester.
Study Plan
Choose a single area of knowledge that fits your profile and enroll in any subject of the Masters attached to them (It is not possible to combine areas of knowledge).
How the academic year is organized at UC3M:
- First term: from September 9 to December 20.
- Second four-month period: from January 27 to May 9.
Ordinary exams:
- First term: from January 9 to January 22.
- Second term: from May 19 to May 29.
* Recovery exams for both semesters: June 10 to 20.

Requirements
1. Have the required Bachelor's degree in the area requested or be pursuing a Master's degree in the same area:
- Area 1. Law: Graduates in legal and related areas.
- Area 2. Economics: Graduates in Business Administration, Management and/or Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, Finance, Statistics or related studies.
- Area 3. Political Science: Graduates in Administration, management and/or business administration, Economics, Marketing, Finance, Statistics, Political Science, Sociology, International Studies, Law, Communication Sciences, Geography, History, Humanities or related studies.
- Area 4. Engineering and Basic Sciences: Graduates in Engineering and Basic Sciences.
- Area 5. Humanities and Communication: Graduates in multidisciplinary areas of knowledge. For the Master's Degree in Documentary and Transmedia Journalistic Reporting and the Master's Degree in Advertising Communication, applicants must be graduates in Audiovisual Communication or related areas.
2. Enroll a minimum of 6 credits if you do not need a visa, or 18 if you do need a visa.

Documentation
You must include a scanned copy of the following documents with your application:
- Passport.
- Graduate diploma, official academic certificate of Master's studies or letter of admission to Master's studies.
- Official English or Spanish language certificate that certifies a minimum level of B2.
- List of subjects that you want to take Subjects List
*You can enroll in subjects of only one area of knowledge from the previous paragraph of the International School (C3IS).
**The enrollment of subjects is subject to the availability of places.

Apply Online
- Get your login password.
In order to access the application form for visiting students, you must register to obtain your access password.
If you have any problems registering, you may have a previous relationship with Universidad Carlos III. If you have forgotten your password change it here: Change your password
- Apply for a vacancy.
Access the application with your Passport or ID number and the password you have obtained in step 1. We recommend you to have the files with the documentation ready to upload them to the application. In order to access the application for visiting students, you must register to obtain the access password.
- Select the courses you wish to study.
Admission and Vacancy Reservation
Admission will be communicated by e-mail, starting December 9th, 2024.
Admission is conditional upon payment of 300 € as a reservation fee which will be deducted from the total price at the time of registration. You will have a period of 10 days from the notification of admission to make the payment of the reservation.
Payment will be made by credit card through the payment platform linked below:
Once you confirm your vacancy, we will send you the admission letter in digital format. If you need to apply for a visa, we will send you a new admission letter with the necessary information.
Enrollment
If you have received your admission letter and have reserved your place, the last step is to enroll.

Enrollment
The process will be carried out by the School Secretariat, in accordance with the list of courses selected by the students in their application, once the corresponding approval has been obtained from the Graduate Center.
Enrollment Payment
Deadline: from February 17th.
- You will receive an email when everything is ready to make the payment.
- The payment method will be by credit card through the Internet, using the account provided by the university, with a link that will take you to the secure payment portal.
- You will have 10 days to pay the enrollment fee, starting from the day you receive the email.
