- MOBILITY
European mobility: Masters UC3M
Through the European program, the students of the Universidad Carlos III can make a study period in a superior education institution of another European country.
The objective is to further encourage the internationalization at all levels. For that, in the Ordinary Announcement of places of Universitary Masters European Mobility 2015/2016, its added to the supply of the actual European mobility ERASMUS+, some Universitary Master programs.
In the University Carlos III of Madrid we offer two modalities under which exchanges will be made:
A) European Mobility with recognition of credits ECTS of the own master (International academic stay to take subjects of the master)
B) International complement, once finished the master courses in which you are enrolled (International academic stay as Complementary Formation)For more information, consult in your Postgraduate Students Office.

- EXTENSIONS
While the 90 ECTS of the Master cover satisfactorily Spain requirements for the professional accreditation as Industrial Engineer in just one-and-half years, UC3M is also offering complementary formation to those students desiring to enlarge their apprenticeship and skills, before entering their professional life. This complementary formation, which is voluntary and can be customized to different individual interests, can be recognized in the European Diploma Supplement (SET).
UC3M offers three types of supplements for the Master's Degree that can be combined and customized to complete a maximum of 30 additional ECTS (up to 120 ECTS in total). The activities of the Supplement can be taken simultaneously with the courses of the Master's program, although it is suggested to take them once the first semester of the second year has been passed.
INTERNATIONAL COMPLEMENT
An opportunity to acquire training in a specific area of Industrial Engineering with the perspective provided by the international approach. For this purpose, scholarships are offered within the framework of the Erasmus program for stays of a maximum of 12 months in a foreign institution after completing the courses of the Master's program. It is recommended that the Master's thesis be part of the exchange agreement.
ENGINEERING & R&D SUPPLEMENT
This supplement aims to give students the opportunity to expand their knowledge in one or more subjects related to Industrial Engineering. To do so, they will have the opportunity to take subjects from other UC3M master's degrees from the School of Engineering and Basic Sciences. In this way they will expand their training in a personalized way up to a maximum of 30 additional ECTS.
INTERNSHIP SUPPLEMENT
This supplement is aimed at completing the Master's training with an experience in the industrial and professional field. This option consists of an internship in a company in the field of Industrial Engineering, either in Spain or abroad, for a period of up to 9 months.
In order to maximize the experience, it is desirable that internships include the development of the Master's Thesis. To this end, UC3M has a large number of agreements with companies, making it possible to carry out these internships through the Fundación UC3M Orientación & Empleo.
In addition, students can make individual proposals to the Academic Committee of the master's degree in order to establish agreements with new companies.
In order for the internship to be included in the transcript and the SET, it must be registered as a complementary external internship (consult the Student Offices).
