Welcome to the Department of Statistics. The research of the Department is disseminated in articles published in national and international journals and in working papers. This work is supported internally by UC3M and externally by regional, national and international research projects. In addition, the Department's seminars and workshops are an essential means of communication and interaction with other researchers. The teaching activities of the Department of Statistics, in the three UC3M campuses, include courses in most undergraduate degrees, many master's programs and a PhD program.

Assistant Professor in the Department of Statistics at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid
The Department of Statistics at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (uc3m) invites applications for TWO POSITIONS for Assistant Professors, with a starting date of February 2026.
The requirements are:
- PhD in Statistics or related areas
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken, as candidates are expected to be able to teach in English, at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels)
The main details of the post are:
- A 6-year contract
- Base gross annual salary of 26,000 euros (supplemented by the University, more details available here).
Applicants who are not EU citizens must hold the valid documentation required to formalise an employment contract in Spain before commencement.
