This requirement is compulsory for the Study Plans implemented or renewed from 2017 on. You can find the specific information related to each plan on its website.
You can accredit this level at any time throughout the studies, by presenting an official certificate or taking a level test. The requirement will also be complete by passing if 60 credits in English at UC3M.
Level test
The exam of language level accreditation will be held several times a year, and to present yourself you must book an appointment and pay the corresponding fee.
Information and registration level test
In addition, the level obtained in the test will help you to enter or remain in bi-lingual groups or in English, as well as to apply for certain mobility places in foreign universities.
Presentation of official certificates
The level required to study in groups in English will be accredited if you are in possession of one of the following official degrees:
- 6th year passed in the Official School of Languages
- FIRST CERTIFICATE or higher

Overcoming 60 credits in English
The passing of 60 credits taken in the English groups taught at UC3M will mean the automatic accreditation of the B2 level of English. In this case it is not necessary to request it.
Information for students who change plans
If you have been previously enrolled in another UC3M degree, you should bear in mind that:
- If you passed the subject "English Skills", you will automatically have the new requirement.
- If you did not pass it, you must prove level B2
- In case you were enrolled in the old plan of the same degree and we have changed to the new plan at the time of implementation, you can accredit the level with the same requirements that were required to pass the subject "Skills: English"
