Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera (DELE)

DELE is an official Spanish language certificate issued by the Instituto Cervantes on behalf of the Spanish Ministry of Education. It is recognized internationally and does not have an expiry date. 

UC3M Exam dates in 2025

• Friday, February 14: A2 level
• Friday, April 4: A2 and C1 levels
• Saturday, May 24: A2, B2 and C1 levels
• Friday, July 11: A2 and C1 levels
• Saturday, November 22: A2 and B2 levels

The date and time of the oral test will depend on the number of candidates enrolled. Candidates will be informed a week in advance. 

The enrollment window for all 2025 exam dates will open on November 13, 2024

To enrol to take the exam in Spain, enrollment and payment can only be done electronically through the website of the Instituto Cervantes. You have the direct link in the column to the right.

Enrollment deadline:

• February exam: January 8, 2025
• April exam: February 12, 2025
• May exam: April 9, 2025
• July exam: May 14, 2025
• November exam: October 8, 2025

Enrollment will be open until the date mentioned or until places are sold out.

Cost of each exam:

• Level A2: 134€
• Level B2: 204€
• Level C1: 225€

This course is aimed at those who wish to take the DELE, and who already have a B2 or C1 level, and who want to prepare the exam specifically.

To sign up for the course, students are required to obtain level B2 or C1 on the level test which will be available during the enrollment period. 

The teachers are DELE examiners and will give students essential information for each of the four parts of the exam: reading comprehension, written expression and interaction, listening comprehension and oral expression and interaction.

In addition to learning techniques for each exam paper, candidates will also do exam simulations.

Preparation course April exam         

• Dates: from March 3 to April 2, 2025
• Days: Monday and Wednesday
• Schedule: 15:30 to 17:30 h
• Enrollment period: from January 27 to February 17, 2025
• Fee: 200 € (UC3M students) / 230 € (General public from outside UC3M)

The Language Centre reserves the right to cancel the course in case of an insufficient number of students.

The course and the candidate’s admission will be confirmed by email after the enrollment deadline.
