Thesis deposit

Thesis deposit

The thesis deposit is carried out at the Doctoral School and the department(s) or institute(s) designated to that effect on the University's network, in encrypted code.

The thesis is under deposit for a period of 15 calendar days (August not included for deposit purposes) starting from the day after the official date of deposit. 

  • The student must have been enrolled on the PhD Program for a minimum period of 24 months
  • Payments of annual enrollments must be up-to-date

Documents required to initiate deposit procedings

For preservation and dissemination purposes on the institutional repository e-Archivo, the pdf* is required to have these features: text recognition, embedded fonts, no password required for access.

a.  Activity report listing the training activities carried out during the Ph.D. This document will be at the disposal of the Thesis Committee.

b. Informed consent agreement  stating that the student has been informed of the conditions for the thesis to be published in the Universiity's institutional repository, according to art. 31 and 32 of the Doctoral School's Rules and Regulations, under a "Creative Commons Attribution – Non Commercial – Non Derivatives" license.

c. Technical abstract of the thesis in pdf format (2500-3000 words; this can be the same abstract registered on the TESEO database).

d. Non-technical abstract of the thesis in pdf format (800-1000 words).

e. Curriculum Vitae (maximum length: three pages).

f. TESEO report. The student is required to register the data of their thesis on TESEO (doctoral thesis database of the Spanish Ministry of Education) and provide a copy of the report generated by the application. Please refer to our TESEO Guide for further details..

Industrial Ph.D.candidates are also required to provide:

  • Report stating the completion of the research project, signed by the Ph.D. advisor, the supervisor appointed by the company or Public Administration and the Academic Committee of the Ph.D. Program.
  • Working Life Report (Informe de Vida Laboral), verifying that the thesis research has been carried out during the employment period at the company.

The Doctoral School Office on campus will process the thesis deposit, establish the start and end dates and manage the possible allegations by the experts, communicating these to the departaments or institutes involved, the Academic Committee of the Ph.D. Program and yourself as the Ph.D. candidate.
