05. Activate your email

Activate your email

Now, you must activate the e-mail account that we will provide you with, and that will be the one used by both the university and your professors to communicate with you from now on.

You will be able to activate your e-mail account from the day after your enrollment.

Your email address consists of 100 + your NIA, (this is your student number, and you can find it on your registration receipt) + @alumnos.uc3m.es. For example, 100123456@alumnos.uc3m.es.

If you do not have the receipt, you can check your user number here.

To activate your account you must enter your user number, and you will receive an email with a link to create your password. You can't choose the same temporary password you used to register, you will need a different one.

In addition to creating your password, you will need to provide an alternative e-mail address and a cell phone number, as access to the account requires double authentication for security reasons.

How to access UC3M e-mail and other applications

  • The e-mail account is provided by Google, so you must access gmail.com and use, as a user, the full address(100xxxxxx@alumnos.uc3m.es). You will also use the full address in the rest of Google applications (Drive, Calendar, etc).
  • For the rest of the university applications (Aula Global, timetable, etc.) you will use only the user number (100xxxxxx) and the password you have just chosen.

The University also offers you, while you are enrolled, a license for Microsoft Office 365. Find more information here.
